At Shimmering Stars Nursery, we are deeply committed to supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring that each child, regardless of their additional needs, receives the best possible start to their education. Our inclusive environment and purpose-built, single-level facility with disabled-accessible toilets cater to the diverse needs of all children with SEND.

Upon your child’s arrival, we promptly assess their requirements for additional support and collaborate with relevant services to provide the necessary assistance. Our experienced staff members are adept at working with children with medical, physical, speech, language, and various other needs, and we are always ready to seek professional support to ensure the best outcomes for your children.

If your child requires extra support, our Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) will work closely with the child, their key worker, parents, and professionals to provide tailored support, which may include small group work, 1:1 support, or specific targets set by professionals. If necessary, we will assist in applying for an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) to provide your child with the best possible start in life, ultimately benefiting their education in the long run.
